Watson Style Group is a luxury personal styling firm serving private clients across the country — a small team, a high-touch service, and a business growing fast on the strength of long-term client relationships. We've built our own technology platform and we run lean: every person here owns their function fully. We have studios in New York and Chicago.
The Role
The Styling Logistics Intern owns the daily logistics and operational machinery that keeps our New York studio running — inventory, shipping, vendor coordination, and process documentation, done professionally and on time.
This is not a styling role, and it's not a management position — it's a hands-on operations seat with real ownership of real client orders from day one.
What You'll Own
- Daily logistics operations and workflow execution for the New York studio
- Inventory tracking, ordering, and supply management
- Shipping, receiving, and distribution — including UPS (or other identified carrier) shipments — and timely fulfillment of operational needs across departments
- Vendor and operational partner relationships — monitoring performance and quality, negotiating costs, and supporting onboarding and contract management
- Logistics procedures and documentation, including SOPs — writing, maintaining, and improving them
- Identifying operational inefficiencies and building scalable systems and automation
- KPIs for fulfillment, inventory accuracy, operational timelines, and cost management
Day to Day
- Oversee styling logistics and inventory; organize and maintain client folders; update client invoices; update SOPs; communicate with clients
- Receive and send client items; manage returns and return windows, tailoring items, consignment, and drycleaning
- Manage shopping and shipping, including assisting with and shipping WSG exclusives
- Prepare clothing for packing — steaming, tag removal — and pack all client orders
- Provide services to clients professionally and on time
Expectations
- Be in the New York Styling Studio five (5) days a week
- Uphold WSG values; provide services professionally and on time; charge all hours timely; flag additional revenue opportunities when clients exceed hours or through upsells
- Communicate clearly and on time; problem-solve with solutions; demonstrate calm under pressure and a kind, supportive attitude
- Attend mandatory monthly All Hands meetings; receive and incorporate feedback; take on new tasks as needed; no conflicts of interest
Who You Are
- Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable owning a checklist end-to-end
- Physically comfortable with hands-on logistics work — steaming, packing, lifting, carrying
- Based in or able to reliably commute to New York City, five days a week
- A clear, professional communicator with clients and vendors alike
- Interested in operations within a luxury service business
Compensation
Paid internship, hourly. Rate and hours discussed during the interview process.
