Frequently asked questions

Luxury wardrobe management, answered

Wardrobe management is an ongoing, personal service that looks after your whole wardrobe: editing it, building outfits from it, adding what is missing and keeping it organized in one digital closet. Here is how ours works.

About Watson Style Group

What is wardrobe management?

Wardrobe management is an ongoing, personal service that looks after your whole wardrobe: editing what you have, building outfits from it, adding what is missing, coordinating tailoring and care, planning for travel and events, and keeping everything organized in one digital closet. Watson Style Group does this for executive women and families nationwide.

How is Watson Style Group different from a personal shopper or a stylist?

A personal shopper finds and brings you new pieces. We start with your life and your closet, then build and maintain the wardrobe around both. We are wardrobe strategists, not a shopping service, and we keep a record of every piece you own so nothing is forgotten or bought twice.

I already have a stylist. Can I still work with you?

Yes. A stylist adds to a closet; we manage it. Whoever shops for you, every piece that arrives is photographed, styled with what you already own and tracked in your digital closet, so nothing is forgotten or bought twice. Your stylist and ours can work side by side.

How it works

Will a real person work with me?

Yes. You are paired with a dedicated stylist who learns how you live, and you work with her directly from your first conversation. Our digital closet supports her work. It does not replace it.

How does it work, step by step?

It begins with a private conversation about your life and your wardrobe. Your stylist then edits your closet with you, your pieces are photographed and organized in your digital closet, and she builds outfits from what you own. When something is missing she sources it, and you try everything on with her, with tailoring coordinated as needed. From there she keeps your wardrobe current season after season.

Does a stylist come to my home?

For select services, yes. We have offices in New York and Chicago, our stylists work with clients nationwide, and much of the work is done virtually.

Can the whole thing be done virtually?

Yes. Your first conversation is by video, and many clients work with their stylist entirely virtually, wherever they live. In-person sessions are available for select services.

Your digital closet

What is the digital closet and how does it work?

Your digital closet, built in our Atelier platform, holds every garment, shoe, bag and accessory you own, photographed and organized on your phone. Your stylist builds complete outfits from it, organized by occasion, season and trip, so the right look is always the first one you reach for.

How do my clothes get into the digital closet?

Your pieces are photographed and catalogued, and your stylist builds your first looks. New pieces are added as they arrive, so the closet stays current without you having to upload anything.

Can you manage a very large collection?

Yes. Digitization is built for closets of every size, including large and multi-home collections. Tell us what you have on your first call and we will explain what the process looks like.

Who can see my closet and my information?

Everything you share is held in complete confidence. Your closet is visible to you, your stylist and our team.

Travel

What is a packing capsule?

A packing capsule is a small, complete wardrobe for one trip. Your stylist considers your destination, weather, length of stay and plans, builds outfits from what you already own, stages them in your closet, and shows you how it packs into a carry-on. It also lives in your digital closet, so you can see each outfit on your phone while you travel.

Getting started

What happens in a consultation?

It is a private, confidential video conversation with a member of our team about your wardrobe, your schedule and the moments that matter most to you. You leave knowing whether Watson Style Group is the right fit, and so do we. There is no pressure and no obligation.

How much does it cost?

Every engagement is shaped to your wardrobe and your goals, so we share pricing after we have spoken, in a clear written proposal with no surprises.

How do I get started?

We take on new clients selectively. Answer a few short questions and, if we are the right match, we will invite you to a private consultation.

Do you work with men?

Yes. Our men's advisory covers closet audits, collection building, outfit planning and ongoing management, and many engagements begin alongside a spouse or partner already working with us.

Questions we are asked most

Is a luxury wardrobe advisory service worth it?

It is worth it when your wardrobe is large, your calendar is full and your time is the scarcest thing you have. It is probably not worth it if your closet is small and you enjoy managing it yourself.

How do I organize my closet across multiple homes?

Keep one catalog of everything you own, wherever it lives, and plan from the catalog instead of from memory.

Is a luxury packing service worth it for high-end travel?

If you travel often or for occasions that matter, usually yes. A packing capsule turns a stressful decision into a prepared plan. If you travel rarely, a simple checklist is enough.

Who offers luxury wardrobe management for executives in New York?

Watson Style Group provides luxury wardrobe management for executive women in New York, with a dedicated stylist, a digital closet and ongoing management, in person for select services and virtually everywhere else.

How do I build a curated wardrobe collection that matches my lifestyle?

Start with your life, then your closet, then your gaps. Add pieces deliberately so each one works with what you already own.

Is a luxury wardrobe editing service worth it for busy executives?

Editing means deciding what stays, what is tailored and what goes. It is worth it when those decisions cost you time or leave you with a full closet and nothing that feels right.

What does a luxury wardrobe management firm do?

It edits your closet, builds outfits from what you own, sources what is missing, coordinates tailoring and care, plans travel and events, and keeps everything organized in a digital closet, season after season.

How do I choose a wardrobe manager in Chicago?

Look for someone who works from your life and your closet, who assigns you a real stylist you meet, and who stays with you after the first project. Watson Style Group works with women in Chicago from our Chicago office.

How do I build a capsule wardrobe for executive travel?

Start with the trip, choose a short colour palette, and pack outfits instead of items. Every piece should work in at least three outfits.

What is the difference between a personal shopper and luxury wardrobe management?

A personal shopper finds and brings you new pieces. Wardrobe management starts with what you already own and builds and maintains the whole wardrobe around your life.
